About Us
FARMINGTON ART FOUNDATION
The Farmington Art Foundation, previously known as the Farmington Art Club, was founded in 1965 with membership 
including regular and associate members. The first Senior Painting Classes were started in 1975 through a grant from the Michigan Council for the Arts.
Farmington Art Foundation Goals
The Foundation’s goal is to stimulate and enrich an interest in the creative arts through lectures, workshops, demonstrations, presentations, critiques, exhibits, and outdoor painting in the summer as the Plein Air Troupe. Advancement is encouraged at all levels of ability through fellowship 
with other artists, many of whom are professionals in the art field. FAF meetings are held at the 12 Mile library 6:45-9:00 the second Wednesday of each month- September through May except for December.
Senior Citizens Painting Class and Art Exhibits
The FAF also serves the community through sponsorship of weekly painting classes for senior citizens at the William Costick Activities Center on Wednesdays 1:00~3:00 all year.
The FAF has had a spring exhibit each year at the Costick Center in Farmington Hills, Michigan. The FAF also was part of the Farmington Founders Festival in July each summer. The FAF has downtown Farmington Library exhibits for members throughout the year. The Foundation also maintains a Corridor Gallery at the William Costick Activity Center which showcases members’ art in four exhibits each year. The FAF has members’ artwork at the KickstART Gallery in downtown Farmington, 33304 Grand River.
